Steve Foster has been an integral part of the Blacktown Cricket Club for the past 15 years. He has been the president for the past 14 years. Last year, Steve stood down from his role to be able to move to QLD to be closer to his son Matt and his new grand kids Lennie and Frankie.

In Steve’s time at the club he has been integral in many things taking place for the club. Steve was primarily responsible for the expansion of the practice wickets, new Astro turf wickets, purchasing of ATV’s for covers, he was also part of the grant that allowed Joe McAleer to get a digital video scoreboard.

Steve was the main instigator in pursuing Mounties for the current funding arrangement. His tireless work has put the club into a strong financial position and guided us through the tough economic period of COVID-19.

Every Saturday you would find Steve at Joe McAleer at 6am removing covers and would be the last to leave by 7pm. It is a massive hole losing Steve, however, he is enjoying life with Lyn on the Sunshine Coast and loving life.
